About the Role: As an Cyclotron Operator, you will play a pivotal role in setting up and operating the cyclotron and related synthesis equipment. You will perform quality assurance tests on products, ensuring compliance with instructions and prescribed routines, methods, or procedures for initial product release.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and Operation: Conduct pre-isotope production checks, set up cyclotron and chemistry modules, and use computer controls for the production of PET radiopharmaceuticals.
- Quality Assurance: Perform a variety of tests for sterility, pyrogenicity, radiochemical purity, radionuclidic purity, residual solvents, and other tests related to the manufacturing of PET radiopharmaceuticals.
- Maintenance: Assist in minor maintenance of the cyclotron and related equipment, including synthesis modules.
- Synthesis of Isotopes: Use standard operating procedures to combine and mix reagents used in the quality control and/or synthesis of isotopes.
- Product Packaging: Label syringes, vials, wrap and pack containers to prepare for shipment.
- Supply Management: Monitor and order supplies necessary for the production and quality control of isotopes.
- Delivery Coordination: Assist in scheduling deliveries as needed.
- Quality Management: May serve in Quality Manager role for PET manufacturing operations, as applicable.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong organizational skills along with effective time management skills.
- Must be able to successfully pass the company’s background check and pre-employment drug test.
- Ability to operate a vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license also required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
