OutScout has partnered with the Executive team of a SaaS platform that is designed to empower all students on their way to degree completion and career success, to hire a Senior Software Engineer for their Onboarding team.
The Problem:
Today, 40% of students who enter college will get lost in navigating their degree requirements and drop out – which costs over $200B to institutions annually.
The Solution (Platform):
Their platform gives students a seamless and user-friendly experience to plan ahead and manage their progress throughout their time in higher education.
This then enables advisors and administrators to have access to student planning and progress data to help scale their support and allocate resources based on the students’ needs.
Company:
They are a team of ~70 people right now. They recently raised an $11M Series A, in addition to having strong revenue, being utilized towards team growth, platform innovation, and growth among universities.
Role:
The Senior Software Engineer will be owning parts of the Onboarding team’s delivery end-to-end — working closely with the founders, PMs, and other engineers.
Their tech stack is Python, JavaScript, Angular/React. This role will be a backend heavy full stack role.
Team:
The Onboarding team is ground zero for their mission - it is responsible for getting their product into the hands of students and advisors.
They own everything required to set up a partner institution with their own instance - including data, configurations, and branding.
Comp:
They are targeting a base pay of $160K-$200K base + equity for this role.
