JOB SUMMARY
Provide fast and courteous service of food and beverages to residents and patients and ensure quality of food and beverage presentation per established standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
Basic reading and writing.
Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with residents, guests, other departments, cooks, and supervisors.
May be required to work nights, weekends, and or holidays.
EXPERIENCE
Food service experience preferred. Food service in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required.
SKILLS
Adapt to pressure and deadlines. Must be able to function as a team member. Is kind, courteous and is able to get along with co-workers and with all staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
Clear and reset tables and assist with opening and closing tasks.
Serve residents and guests in the Long Term Care during meal periods and snacks.
Assist in cold preparation and delivery of meals.
Prepare food and beverages for service to residents and community guests and present food according to established health and presentation standards.
Clear and clean tables in a prompt and efficient manner. Clean and/or wipe down tables, chairs, walls, windows, mirrors, and floors as necessary.
Perform side-work and any other opening or closing duties as required. Ensure stations are clean and maintained throughout shift.
Alert management of any service and/or safety issues. Make appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines to ensure total guest satisfaction.
Stock dining room with necessary items for meal periods as well as stocking the nurse's stations with request as provided.
Cleaning after all meal periods includes: doing dishes, setting up dining room for next meal period.
Follow dietary requirements for all residents and ensure serving food according to each diet safely.
May assist with other duties as assigned.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Attend department meetings and in-services.
Answer phone, take and relay messages.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.19 - $17.87 per hour
