Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and designs for access systems (scaffold, hoist elevators, mast climbers, suspended systems).
- Design elevated access platforms and personnel/material hoists for construction, energy, and industrial sectors.
- Prepare drawing submittals using AutoCAD or Revit, adhering to applicable design codes, OSHA regulations, local codes, and company guidelines.
- Perform structural analysis and design, prepare accurate design calculations, and conduct site inspections.
- Collaborate with application engineers to provide technical support for regional branch customers, including scaffold erection drawings, bill of materials, and site visits.
- Work with Product Development engineers to create custom product solutions and provide design feedback.
- Utilize engineering CAD and PDM management tools effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in computer use, including 3D AutoCAD (Revit preferred).
- Knowledge of engineering software such as STAAD, RISA, TEDDS, ENERCALC, and others is a plus.
- Successfully completed the FE exam (EIT status) preferred, with plans to take the PE exam within two years or less.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
