Capstone IT is helping our client to hire an experienced SAP Consultant with a strong background in upgrading from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our client’s digital transformation journey, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition. This is a high-profile role that requires a deep understanding of SAP systems, data migration processes, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to provide leadership and accountability to team members as well as working directly with senior company stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the upgrade of SAP ECC systems to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing SAP ECC landscapes to identify potential challenges and develop migration strategies.
- Design, plan, and manage the migration process, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities.
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure successful data migration, including data validation, reconciliation, and error resolution.
- Configure and optimize SAP S/4HANA systems post-migration to align with business processes and performance requirements.
- Provide technical expertise in SAP S/4HANA, including system architecture, configuration, and integration with other SAP modules and third-party systems.
- Develop and maintain migration documentation, including technical specifications, data mapping, and testing plans.
- Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
- Conduct post-migration validation and testing to ensure data integrity and system functionality.
- Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders to facilitate a smooth transition to SAP S/4HANA.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP S/4HANA features, best practices, and industry trends to continuously improve migration processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
- 3+ years of experience in SAP FI/CO configuration with strong knowledge of FI/CO processes.
- Experience with cloud-based SAP environments (e.g., SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Azure).
- Experience with computerized accounting, project management systems, and relational data concepts.
- Ability to work independently and effectively communicate potential risks or issues.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SAP FICO including Workflow, MM, SD, Project Systems, master data and configuration models like Asset Accounting(AA), Controlling (CO), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), and General Ledger (GL).
- Knowledge of SAP Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM) and banking interfaces (e.g., IHC, BCM, EBS, DMEE).
- Experience with Month-End and Year-End FICO processes.
- SAP Certified Specialist
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori and SAP Activate methodology.
- Familiarity with Agile project management principles.
