Role: Workday Tester
Location : San Jose, CA-Remote
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Workday Talent & Acquisition Tester with hands-on experience in testing and minimal configuration work within the Workday ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Talent and Acquisition modules of Workday, along with the ability to perform basic configuration tasks to support testing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workday Testing:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Workday Talent and Acquisition modules.
- Conduct end-to-end testing of Talent Acquisition processes, including recruiting, job requisitions, candidate management, and hiring workflows.
- Perform regression testing to ensure new configurations or updates do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in the system using defect management tools.
- Configuration Work:
- Perform minimal configuration tasks in Workday Talent and Acquisition modules as needed to facilitate testing scenarios.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining test environments, including creating and modifying business processes, security configurations, and role assignments.
- Support the implementation of new features and functionality by configuring and testing in Workday.
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Collaborate closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and developers to understand requirements and ensure thorough testing coverage.
- Document test results, report on testing progress, and provide insights and recommendations based on test findings.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of testing documentation, including test scripts, test data, and testing standards.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Workday updates and releases, particularly in the Talent and Acquisition modules.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving testing processes and enhancing system performance.
- Support the training of team members on testing best practices and Workday configurations.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in testing within the Workday environment, with a focus on the Talent and Acquisition modules.
- Hands-on experience with minimal configuration work in Workday, including setup of business processes and security roles.
- Experience with Workday updates, testing tools, and defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, etc.).
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of Workday Talent Acquisition processes and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
