Mechanical Project Manager
A Mechanical Contractor with a $200m + pipeline of projects is looking to add a Project Manager to their team. They are specialized in designing and installing commercial HVAC systems that deliver maximum comfort at the lowest possible lifecycle costs.
Salary: $125,000 - $140,000 + benefits
Location: Throughout NYC and the five boroughs
Responsibilities
- Reviewing all bidding docs, plans, schedules & budgets to establish a complete understanding of the project scope of work.
- Supervising installation projects and managing all aspects of the project including procurement, material list, compliance, work execution, signoffs, commissioning, closeouts etc.
- Prepare, maintain & update project schedules.
- Schedule and oversee installation crews and subcontractors to complete the contracted work. Coordinate with all parties for full access to job sites.
- Track project budgets on both labor & materials to ensure project is completed within budget.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety protocols (including daily logs, sign-in sheets, safety toolbox talks, etc.)
- Attend site meetings with Architects, Customers, Engineers & City Agencies as needed.
- Managing and developing Assistant Project Manager.
- Estimating change orders for active projects as needed.
- Maintain spreadsheets and tracking logs for all projects (COs, RFIs, submittals, punch lists, etc
- Establish and maintain excellent relations with all parties involved with projects.
- Train customers on equipment operation upon completion of projects.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of specific boiler experience is required
- 5+ years of experience in project management or relevant fields
- Strong knowledge in heating systems, design and MEP Coordination
- Bachelor's degree in project management or mechanical engineering
- Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple completed project
