Manpower is assisting a prestigious client in hiring an experienced Project Manager to lead steel fabrication projects and ensure their successful execution from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, expertise in steel fabrication processes, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This position is direct hire, full-time. Salary is $80k-$120k. Comprehensive benefits package. Paid relocation available!
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee all aspects of steel fabrication projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and quality control.
Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Collaborate with all internal departments and subcontractors to communicate project scope requirements.
Manage all subcontractors and subcontracts.
Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure adherence to project milestones and deadlines.
Manage project budgets, track expenses, and forecast costs to ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.
Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services required for fabrication projects.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess work progress, quality standards, and safety compliance.
Communicate effectively with project team members, stakeholders, and senior management to provide project updates, address concerns, and resolve issues.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing steel fabrication projects, including safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and closeout documents.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a project manager in the steel fabrication industry
Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes, including detailing, fabrication, and erection. Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
Proficiency in project management software, Excel, Microsoft Project, Primavera as well as MS Word and Outlook.
Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing steel fabrication projects, including AISC standards and AWS welding codes.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
