JOB SUMMARY:
The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for the full execution of the project, including safety compliance, conformity with all aspects of the project scope including budget, specifications, and schedule, while also addressing our clients’ needs and requests. The Electrical Project Manager will work with a cross-functional team of electrical engineers, project managers, field superintendents, and installers to complete successful, profitable projects for customers. This role will focus on the program management of Aegis performed electrical scopes to develop and execute electrical work packages. The Electrical Project Manager will also work closely with subcontractors as required by the project scope. An Electrical Project Manager must have the ability to work with little supervision. This includes managing the budget, scope, and schedule for all projects under their responsibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, maintain, and adhere to a project schedule that meets the contractual requirements.
- Oversee multiple projects in a program within electrical engineering.
- Assess and review current processes and tools within the team and adapt to industry standards.
- Provide input for improvement for electrical drawing and work packages.
- Leading generation and enhancement of Aegis standard documentation and procedures to improve the quality and efficiency.
- Constantly work to expand knowledge of industry best practices and the latest technology for the whole team.
- Use and develop Aegis standards in electrical engineering.
- Define and follow KPIs representing the success of the team.
- Lead, direct, and support multiple projects through the detail design and implementation phase of a program.
- Provide input for the development of Functional Design Documents and System Performance as well as Commissioning plans.
- Develop electrical engineering work plan and resource requirements to ensure successful project milestone achievements.
- Oversee the development of overall system power calculation and creation power requirements documentation.
- Able to create and or review Electrical Engineering work packages.
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet industry standards, customer specifications, and Aegis Standards.
- Direct project teams and support resources during the development of RFP/Supplier Selection, detailed electrical design packages, equipment procurement activities, installation drawing packages, and support of installation contractor, Project Manager, and Site Manager with installation efforts.
- Develop and review controls layouts with subcontractors and clients resulting in design acceptance.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in electrical engineering from an accredited engineering program or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in Distribution & Material Handling (preferred).
- 7+ years’ related experience in electrical engineering.
- Ability to travel and work on project sites throughout the US and internationally.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Conveyor control process experience (photoeyes, solenoids, variable frequency drive, line scanner, print and apply application).
- Control panel design experience.
- Ability to read 2D and 3D construction drawings.
- Working Knowledge of AutoCAD (Electrical), Eplan, and other design software.
- Ability to develop solutions to installation and other mechanical issues.
- Ability to analyze progress and determine issues in the schedule in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of and ability to work with and manage multiple suppliers.
- Experience with Functional safety, SISTEMA.
- Experience electrical compliance knowledge IEC60204-1, IEC61439.
- Experience with MS Project and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience in standard design of relevant material handling equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Time spent on active job sites include subject to noise, being in close proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical power and control systems, and high places.

- Ability to walk, kneel, crouch and balance frequently.

- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 75lbs occasionally.
- Ability to sit/stand frequently for long and/or intermittent periods of time.
OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION:
- Travel required on average up to 50%, during project peak up to 100% depending on project needs.
