We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior to Mid-Level Web Developer to join a dynamic team at the leading Health Insurance company in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Web Development using Java, Angular, and SQL, and will be eager to grow and expand their skills in a collaborative environment. This role requires 3 days per week on-site in Center City, Philadelphia. We cannot accept C2C candidates!
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Web Applications: Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Java, Angular, and SQL to ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to define, design, and implement new features and enhancements.
- Database Management: Write and optimize SQL queries to interact with relational databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Troubleshoot and Debug: Identify and fix bugs, ensuring the functionality and usability of applications.
- Code Reviews and Best Practices: Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for web development to maintain high code quality.
- Stay Current with Industry Trends: Keep up to date with the latest web development technologies and best practices, bringing innovative solutions to the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in web development.
- Proficiency in Java, Angular, and SQL.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
- Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
- Experience in the healthcare or insurance industry.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
