Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide care for patients with breathing disorders and cardiopulmonary diseases in their home and in our office. This role requires expertise in respiratory therapy techniques and patient assessment.
Duties:
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and record patients' progress and vital signs during therapy
- Educate patients on respiratory conditions and self-care techniques
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop comprehensive patient care plans
- Perform diagnostic tests to assess lung capacity and function
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Proficiency in medical terminology and patient charting
- Experience in pulmonology, pediatrics, geriatrics, and hospital medicine
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
