Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer for Infrastructure Operations to provide technical support and manage all hardware and connectivity issues. This role requires close collaboration with the Infrastructure and Development teams. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technology issues related to hardware, software, user accounts, trading environments, operating systems, and mobility.
- Offer on-call support for production applications.
- Identify, diagnose, research, track, and resolve technical problems.
- Develop automation tools to manage and monitor infrastructure services and applications.
- Enhance the reliability, availability, and performance of infrastructure and related applications.
- Monitor and maintain services post-deployment, focusing on availability, latency, and system health.
- Quickly resolve issues for users and escalate to third parties or other IT groups as necessary.
- Coordinate and manage incident response for critical issues across the organization.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to end users, traders, and senior leadership.
- Facilitate user assistance from third parties or other IT groups when needed.
- Collaborate effectively in a global team environment.
- Maintain advanced knowledge of the trading environment and various technologies.
- Deploy, manage, and document a diverse range of devices and applications.
- Engage in technical collaboration with other Infrastructure and Business IT teams.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to build strong partnerships with business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve technical issues in a dynamic environment.
- Capability to follow instructions while thinking critically and adapting as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
