Position Overview:
As a Mid-Level Controls Engineer at EO Solutions, you will be pivotal in designing and implementing advanced control systems with an emphasis on EO/IR technologies. This role requires a dynamic individual ready to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to innovative solutions in control systems architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to system hardware architecture decisions based on customer requirements, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Design, tune, and maintain control systems composed of servos, motors, fast steering mirrors, and sensors.
- Analyze process requirements, develop control strategies, and perform system modeling and simulation.
- Test and validate control systems in both lab and field environments.
- Perform stability and performance analysis of control loops.
Qualification Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or master’s in electrical or mechanical engineering, or related fields.
- Proven experience in control systems design, particularly in optical or EO/IR technologies.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing control algorithms and systems.
- Familiarity with electrical and control diagrams, and control circuits.
- Experience with sensor and actuator integration, including servos and motors.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication abilities and collaborative teamwork skills.
- Hands-on individual capable of supporting systems integration processes.
- Experience with qualification and acceptance testing of new designs.
