Job Summary:
We are seeking an exceptional engineering leader to head the Mechanical Engineering team responsible for Solar, Storage, and EV Charging products. The role involves leading a high-performing team of mechanical engineers, driving product development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest levels of quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing mechanical engineering team.
- Develop expertise in high-density power electronics packaging, magnetic designs, and thermal management.
- Drive ideation with Industrial Design teams, balancing trade-offs in development time and cost.
- Ensure the timely completion of mechanical engineering milestones and deliverables.
- Implement DFM and DFR processes for manufacturable designs with a high success rate.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams, product management, and vendors to ensure on-time product delivery.
- Drive ideation with Industrial Design teams while balancing trade-offs in development time and cost.
- Ensure timely completion of mechanical engineering program milestones and deliverables.
- Drive cutting-edge technologies both through design and manufacturing.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Over 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering Management.
- Experience in customer-facing high-volume product development, ideally in solar, storage, or EV charging.
- Proven experience in multi-disciplinary product design, including power electronics, high-voltage systems, and complex magnetics.
- Proficiency in CAD and other design software.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and automated manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in fast-paced, multi-time zone work environments.
