Staff Veterinarian needed in Des Moines, Iowa.
The Staff Veterinarian's duties are to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements set forth by both U.S. and international regulatory agencies. These responsibilities entail overseeing product licensing, animal welfare during clinical trials, and managing adverse events.
The incoming Staff Veterinarian will collaborate with other departments to plan, organize, conduct, and monitor clinical trials and testing, write protocols and final reports relating to clinical trials, and communicate with and produce the necessary documentation to distribution partners and government agencies in other countries to register or maintain registration of products, conduct training for staff, assess health status of laboratory animals and provide medical care, provide quality assurance support as needed, and other duties as assigned.
The incoming Staff Veterinarian will understand, evaluate, and apply internal processes and procedures to provide suggested improvements. They can provide excellent customer service for both internal and external customers, including the ability to listen, analyze requests and customer needs, and provide a timely and positive resolution to customer issues. The veterinarian will comply with USDA/FDA regulations and lead interdepartmental meetings to instruct or collaborate in a team environment.
Must have a degree in Veterinary medicine and be licensed in the state of Iowa. Must have 2+ years of clinical experience. Need to have prior experience and/or special interest in providing regulatory support, technical writing, research and development, and clinical trials.
