We are seeking an experienced Technical Engineering Manager who is passionate about driving technical excellence and leading a team in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Utilize your extensive technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude to provide leadership to the technical operators and technicians. Collaborate closely with blow fill technicians and machine operators to ensure optimal production processes.
- People Management: Manage and mentor a team of 10+ technical operators and technicians. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities to enhance team effectiveness.
- Project Management: Oversee facility, utility, and tooling projects. Lead the technical support team to ensure the successful execution of projects. Coordinate tooling repairs and improvements to optimize production efficiency.
- Quality Management: Apply your understanding of quality management systems and calibration software to ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA requirements, and ISO 13485 standards for manufacturing. Drive continuous improvement in quality and operational efficiency.
- Preventative Maintenance Program: Assist in developing and managing a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance program to enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Process Development: Contribute to the development and improvement of manufacturing processes, systems, and procedures. Work to streamline operations and ensure a smooth production flow.
- Aseptic Filling Expertise: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of aseptic filling of pharmaceutical products or Blow-Fill-Seal experience to guide and enhance production processes.
- Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership qualities by challenging current processes, speaking up, and providing innovative solutions. Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, plant operations, or technical roles.
- Proven experience in managing people with strong leadership capabilities.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience working closely with blow fill technicians and machines.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and calibration software.
- Understanding of cGMP, FDA requirements, and ISO 13485 for manufacturing.
- Extensive knowledge in plastic processing, medical device manufacturing, or pharmaceutical processing.
- In-depth expertise in aseptic filling of pharmaceutical products or Blow-Fill-Seal technology is ideal.
- Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate complex projects.
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving operational excellence.
- Assertive, willing to challenge the status quo, and drive process improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a startup-like environment and contribute to system implementations and process development.
