Job Purpose
This position is responsible for new model preparation and mass production improvement activity of equipment used in the department, including wheel alignment and headlight adjust, dynamic testing, radar and camera aiming equipment, water leak testing, and conveyance systems. Position also acts as a project lead for improvement themes, equipment end of life replacements, and other activity as needed.
Key Accountabilities
Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on actual results, as well as ad hoc reporting
• Understand relationship among regulation, CBU specification, and equipment capability
• Clear understanding and documentation of NM change points and PPH impact to equipment, process, and associate as well as internal and external impact to VQ
• Coordinate equipment and tool calibrations with suppliers and Q Division calibration rep
• Coordinate with Equipment Services on current issues, recovery plans, weekend work, and project status
• Project lead for equipment improvement themes and end of life replacement projects as needed
• Track trends, monitor results, and make adjustments with proper approvals
• Manage detail schedule for timely development + start-up of new models
• IPC Execution, Approval and Documentation
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications :
- BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or other relevant field of study
- Equivalent Experience
Minimum Experience :
- 2-8 years of experience in a related field

- Ability to lead projects and supervise contractors
- Strong communication skills
- Desired but not required: Experience with Omron PLC programming and Yaskawa Motoman robot programming and teaching

Working Conditions
- Mostly office environment, computer work, some hands-on project work as needed
- Assist as needed with downtime recovery efforts at a high level supporting equipment services activity
- Travel as needed to other Honda plants, domestic and international, for up to two weeks at a time
- Occasional daily overtime or weekends as needed to support project activity
