Job Overview
This position will be responsible for fulfilling the logistics behind receiving, processing, and storing inventory according to purchase orders and ensuring that shipping schedules are met with attention to detail, timely delivery, and accuracy. The successful candidate will follow the company policies and procedures and comply with IATA and CFR dangerous goods shipping requirements. This position will successfully process orders (product receipts, item transfers, item transactions, item look-up for availability, review open Pos, processing orders, etc.) in Great Plains, the company's ERP system, to support Proteor's distribution channels. The successful candidate will be cross-trained to backfill or support other Supply Chain functions as needed.
* Responsible for pulling, packing, and shipping all outgoing shipments (stocking orders, customer orders, and inter-company transfers - domestically and international).
* Plan and controls inventory activities by analyzing data-based application system.
* Receive, unload, and stock inventory in the correct location (including truck/container).
* Adhere to company safety procedures.
* Processes system-generated and manual material requests for purchase and expedites deliveries as may be required.
* Investigates discrepancies and initiates corrective action to forecasts and distribution requirements based on available stocking plans.
* Forecasts, develops and maintains inventory requirements to ensure the service levels, inventory turnover, and distribution of inventory goals are met.
* Able to operate warehouse equipment (forklift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and such).
* Ability to lift and move heavy products.
* Provide efficient use of company resources.
Qualifications
* High school diploma
* At least 1-4 years of distribution or manufacturing equivalent work experience.
* Computer proficiency.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Detail-oriented and committed to high-quality work.* Proven ability to collaborate and work as a part of a team.
* Must be able to sustain prolonged sitting or standing.
* Must be able to lift 25 lbs. at times.
