An aerospace client is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
Location: Goleta, CA 93117 (On-site)
Position: Manufacturing Engineer
Pay Rate: $45/hr. on W2
Duration: 12 Months or longer
Shift: 9/80, M-TH: 9 hours, Friday = 8 hours, following week M-TH: 9 hours and Friday OFF
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
- Design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure the most efficient and productive layout.
- Design sequence of operations and specify procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
- May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
- Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
- Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensure processes and procedures follow regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- US Citizenship is required.
- A minimum of a BS in Mechanical, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering with 3+ years of related experience.
