Akkodis is seeking a Electrical Test Engineer for a contract opportunity with a client located in the Erie PA area. The electrical test engineer will test Battery Electric Locomotive component and Drives control. The engineer need to be keen and knowing power electronics - Inverters, DC-DC converters, Diodes, contactors, capacitors and controls of drives and motors.
Pay/Salary Range: $45/hr - $50/hr
Essential Responsibilities
• Verify and validate Battery electric and OHV inverters, converters, power electronics, their controls and interfaces with battery and system controllers.
• Ensure power electronics and components are meeting all the requirements by executing robust verification and validation plan in Power electronics Labs, B44 and on locomotive in B60.
• Work collaboratively and constructively with team.
• Understanding traction Inverters, interface with Battery management system and locomotive, OHV system controllers to effectively test, verify and validate the drives and drives control
• Understanding about the IGBTs, contactors, capacitors, reactors, relays. EQT and FQT testing of components.
• Understanding of C controls C code and Matlab models for TMC and ALC control strategies verification and validation.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Electrical Engineering - Power Electronics, capacitors, reactors, relays.
• Understanding of C programming
• Understanding of Matlab Models and Controls
