A globally prominent and rapidly growing manufacturer of cutting-edge production equipment seeks to expand their Design Engineering team. Due to an influx of exciting new, long-term business, they are hiring an Electrical Design Engineering Lead. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, this role will serve in both technical (design and development) and leadership/supervisory capacities. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and document industrial wiring systems and electrical schematics for blow-molding equipment.
- Lead and mentor engineers, providing guidance and serving as the first point of contact for technical questions and issues before escalation to the hiring manager.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to optimize electrical design for manufacturability, reliability, and performance.
- Lead the design release process, ensuring all electrical design documentation is complete, accurate, and formally approved before production.
- Oversee and support change control activities specific to the electrical group, ensuring changes are systematically evaluated, authorized, and documented.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to manufacturing and field service teams as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
- 7+ years of progressive electrical design engineering experience.
- High proficiency with Solidworks and/or AutoCAD.
- Extensive experience with design release phase of product development lifecycle.
- Experience with leading change management / change control activities.
