Day-to-Day
The Electrical Engineer will receive the customer approved PP&IDs and will then check the AutoCAD drawings, create the BOMs, work with procurement on ordering appropriate materials, and handle testing of equipment during production. Once equipment is in the field, the project engineer will then assist technicians when equipment needs any troubleshooting or maintenance. It is to be expected that this individual will work on anywhere between 3 to 4 projects at any given time.
Some responsibilities include:
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams.
- Design electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Create electrical bills of materials using AutoCAD Electrical and Excel.
- Develop PID (Process and Instrumentation Diagram) schematics.
- Program electronic controllers (e.g., pressure, temperature) and radar devices.
- Desired ability to program PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
- Provide electrical technical support to parts and service technicians within the company.
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; preferred curriculum in either Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Design experience- control circuits, power systems, control panels
Ability to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on electrical systems
