ACRE Project Management Group (“ACRE”), a privately held consulting firm offering Ground Up, Project Management and Pre-Lease Services to commercial office space tenants/users. ACRE is seeking a full-time Assistant Project Manager to join their fast-growing and entrepreneurial team.
Position Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Senior Project Manager throughout the entire project to ensure the successful execution and delivery of office buildouts and renovations (“Project”). As Assistant Project Manager, you will assist in the development of scope and schedule for the project as well as ensuring client satisfaction throughout entire process. You will be responsible for ensuring that project management activities are performed in a manner consistent with the client’s and ACRE ‘s policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the Senior Project Manager on all facets of project management for projects including planning, design, construction, relocation, and closeout.
- Demonstrate capability to read, understand and apply standard documents affecting real estate projects, including but not limited to: agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, surveys and drawings.
- Interface directly with clients to define project requirements. Prepare scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
- Identify project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists; Conduct simple request for proposals; complete bid analysis with management support; and recommend resources to clients.
- Provide project guidance and direction to achieve project goals.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite (specifically Word and Excel) and Microsoft Project.
- Execute communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources informed. Facilitate project meetings.
- Implement project documentation governance aligned with ACRE and client requirements. Ensure that project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely and coordinated.
- Track progress of each project against goals, objectives, budgets, and timelines. Report status and variances. Create action plans to meet objectives, budgets, and schedules.
- Develop creative and timely solutions to issues by assessing situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks; identify underlying causes; gather and process relevant information; make clear recommendations and / or decisions for resolution which are timely and in the best interest of the organization.
Qualifications / Skill-sets
- Communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner; demonstrate strong written, oral, listening, and presentation skills to confidently interact and coordinate both technical and non-technical issues with the internal project team, client and other consultants.
- Manage work independently and delegate and utilize other ACRE staff and productive partners effectively.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills regarding projects, reports and other commitments, complete assignments in a quality and timely fashion.
- Maintains a positive, self-motivated, can-do attitude.
Education / Certification / Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in architecture, construction, or engineering is preferred.
- 1-4 years of experience in related industry
