Position:Controls Engineer
Location: Onsite 5x a week in Fort Myers, FL (open to relocation candidates)
Duration: Fulltime/PERM
Must haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or a related field) with at least three 7 years of experience, or ten (15) years of related experience and/or training.
- Experience with AutoCAD electrical software.
- PLC programming
- knowledge and experience with UL-508A standards. Advising/making recommendations on technical drawings to ensure control panels are up to UL 508A standards.
- Ability to produce reports and updates on progress when requested by Project Managers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of product manufacturing feasibility and DFM principles.
- Knowledge of industry and market trends & Resourceful and team-oriented problem-solving skills.
PLUSSES:
- Any experience with process control hydraulics or fluid process control.
- Experience with one or more of the following PLCs:
- Rockwell (CompactLogix), Siemens (Siemens LOGO!), Unitronics (Unistream), Wago.
Day to Day:
The Controls Engineer supports the Pre-Sales, Production and Post-Sales processes by Developing, Designing, Implementing and Supporting Industrial Control Panels and Control Systems used in Fuel Management Applications. This person will be a part of a team of 5 people. They will be working with controls and PLCs for their products. They will complete controls from scratch or work will with existing standards and develop controls. This person will also be working on open products, building controls packages for production, assigning systems, producing, and testing.
