Industrial Process Safety Specialist
Location: Bear River City/Corinne, Utah

Our client is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Process Safety Specialist/Process Designer who is looking for new learning experiences, opportunities for career growth, and a desire to contribute to our client's success. This position will work out of their Bear River City, UT location. This position will have the support of a large team but will currently be the sole permanent on-site representative of Foth for our client at this location. There will be opportunities to grow the on-site presence team based on performance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Audit Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's) in the field and redline them as needed
- Perform Process Safety Studies on audited P&ID's as needed
- Travel as required for fieldwork and/or other client/business objectives
- Work collaboratively and build effective relationships with others
- Communicate effectively across all levels within the organization
- Interact with clients regularly
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of P&ID's and Process flow diagrams related to process systems
- Ability to gain Procter & Gamble Process Safety certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification to perform process safety studies at Procter & Gamble
- 5+ years of process/piping design for industrial projects
Preferred previous experience with the following is advantageous:
- Creating and modifying P&IDs and PFDs
- Designing in 2D and 3D modeling software (AutoCAD MEP, Plant 3D, Revit)
- Paper industry projects
- HVAC ductwork design
- Developing Bill of Materials
- Construction support for an industrial environment
- Executing process/piping design projects according to ISA (Instrument Society of America) standards for P&IDs and PFDs
- Preparing design packages using AutoCAD and 3D modeling software
- Taking field dimensions, gathering equipment information, measuring equipment, preparing sketches, and developing piping isometrics
- Preparing engineering documentation for construction activities
