I'm working with a leading Tier 1 supplier who offer multiple products to various OEM's from fuel systems to emissions devices.
What you'l be responsible for:
- Responsible for the product development (3-D and 2-D) and Data Management.
- Creation of complete Fuel Systems design solutions for new vehicle programs. Fuel systems includes fuel tank shell, tank architecture and related emissions control devices, fill pipe, fuel lines, heat shields and straps.
- Capable to start from a “clean sheet of paper” develop designs to a detailed and balanced solution, including functional integration work, negotiating with competing components and requirements.
- Create and maintain the BOM accordingly per EWO’s including materials, mass and components properties as requested.
- Application of proficient technical knowledge to manage, direct and execute the engineering activities required for assigned customers including all phases of design development.
- Collaboration with component technical experts to ensure component and system strategy is correctly implemented.
- Collaboration with downstream Engineers to allow them to successfully source and validate the components and systems for production.
What you'll need:
- 1. Must possess a recognized post-secondary Engineering Technical diploma/degree or equivalent experience
- Five (5) years of design engineering experience
- Must have basic fuel system component design requirements for both diesel and gasoline applications in passenger cars, light and medium duty trucks.
- Working experience in generative drafting and GDT.
- Knowledgeable with systems and tools that are compatible with those used at GM, Chrysler and Ford Motor Company (Team Center; Tool Kits, etc.)
- CAD packages such as Unigraphics NX and/or Catia as well as productivity packages such as Microsoft Office Professional.
- Knowledgeable in design and manufacturing technology as it relates to the business and product lines.
