Job Title: Mechanical Testing Technician
Company: Industry Leading Technology Company
Job Type: 3- Month Contract
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (On-site)
Compensation: $40-$50/hr
RESPONSBILITIES
- Mechanical testing using an Instron, drop tower or similar test apparatus
- Imaging and measurement of test samples
- Basic microscopy or characterization using various lab equipment
- Documenting test results, organize data as well as samples to maintain good traceability
- Work with vendors or other team to get coupons fabricated/prepared
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with test machines like Instron
- Experience with Digital Image Correlation (DIC)
- Comfortable always having multiple tasks
- Ability to record and report data cleanly to many engineers
- Excellent record keeping
BONUS
- Experience python coding for data post processing
- Experience with coupon mounting, cross section polishing
- Experience with optical microscopy
- Good at maintaining a good condition in lab
