Aviva Systems Biology is a fast paced, mid stage life sciences research tools company located in San Diego, CA. We commercialize life science tools and reagents for research, drug discovery, and diagnostics.
How will you make an impact?
This role will define and execute the short and long-term growth strategy of the corporate ecommerce website. Define website roadmaps to meet company objectives, be skilled in managing agencies for web development and SEO/SEM support, be strong in troubleshooting issues or roadblocks in the Magento platform, and be adept at managing large, complex ecommerce catalogs in Magento.
What will you do?
- Define and execute the roadmap for the corporate ecommerce website that will set it up to achieve short and long-term business objectives.
- Successfully manage agencies for website development and SEO/SEM support. Maintain strong working relationships and ensure projects completed on-time, correctly, and within budget.
- Define the site standards related to product uploads, product images, web page URL structure, etc.
- Be a leader on any website redesign projects.
- Manage product types, categories, names, SKUs, attributes, pricing (regular, tier, special, or group pricing), descriptions, inventory. Ensure best practices are being used.
- Manage product data image uploads, understand image requirements. Develop rules and standards and ensure stakeholders are trained and understand requirements.
- Test & deploy site functions using best practices with staging and production servers.
- Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions for all regular website functions, such as product updates, image uploads, new web page creation, etc.
- Report out monthly on the status, performance, and overall health of the corporate website.
How will you get here?
Experience:
· 5+ years working with Magento 2 ecommerce website(s); complex B2B sites a plus.
· Experienced managing and working with outside agencies.
· Experienced working with AWS.
· Experienced working with Elastic Search.
· Experience building and maintaining SQL databases.
· Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, PHP, CSS, MySQL, and developer best practices.
· Strong Excel skills for managing data for a catalog of over 500,000 products. Know how find and compare data across multiple excel files.
· Strong communication skills. Be able to explain technical details and solutions to the non-technical person and be able to build rapport with a variety of stakeholders and personality types.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
