Junior Trading Systems Support Analyst
Location: Midtown Manhattan – Hybrid Schedule
Duration: 6–8-month contract to hire
We are seeking a motivated and talented Junior Trading Systems Support Analyst to join our clients’ team, a leading financial institution. This role is ideal for a young professional, possibly fresh out of school or with an internship at a bank, who has a strong foundation in Linux, Python, and FIX connectivity. Key Responsibilities:
- Trading Systems Support: Assist in providing support for trading systems, ensuring the smooth operation of the technology that drives the bank's trading activities.
- Incident Management: Respond to and resolve trading-related technical issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring traders can operate effectively.
- System Monitoring: Monitor system performance and proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact trading operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with traders, developers, and other IT teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Learning and Development: Take advantage of on-the-job training to deepen your understanding of trading systems and financial markets.
Requirements:
- Linux: Strong familiarity with Linux operating systems, including basic shell scripting and system management.
- Python: Competency in Python for automation and troubleshooting.
- FIX Protocol: Understanding of the FIX protocol and its application in trading systems (training provided for areas that need development).
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
