POSITION OVERVIEW
As the IT Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the management of IT assets throughout their lifecycle. This includes the acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of hardware and software assets. The role ensures that the organization's IT assets are managed efficiently, costs are controlled, and compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements is maintained.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Asset Tracking and Management:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
- Track asset status, location, and ownership to ensure accountability and compliance.
- Update and maintain asset records in the asset management database.
Procurement and Deployment:
- Assist in the procurement process of IT assets, including vendor selection and contract negotiation.
- Coordinate the deployment of new hardware and software, ensuring proper configuration and installation.
- Assist in mass deployment of assets centered around mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity.
Maintenance and Support:
- Monitor and manage the lifecycle of IT assets, including upgrades, repairs, and replacements.
- Collaborate with IT support teams to address asset-related issues and incidents.
- Maintain device and software inventory.
- Maintain the Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platform.
- Maintain day-to-day workstation patching initiatives.
Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of IT assets to verify accuracy and completeness of asset records.
- Prepare reports on asset status, utilization, and compliance for management review.
Process Improvement:
- Develop and implement best practices for IT asset management.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Provide training and support to staff on asset management policies and procedures.
- Create a scalable solution for asset onboarding and software deployment.
- Set up the physical environment for efficient asset onboarding.
- Create and streamline IT automations for repeatable tasks.
Security and Configuration:
- Create and maintain baseline configurations for securing workstations.
- Ensure proper configuration and implementation of security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls.
Collaboration and Support:

NECESSARY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT asset management or related field.
- Experience with asset management software and tools.
- Familiarity with deployment tools (e.g., SCCM, MDT), scripting (PowerShell, Bash), and imaging software
- Familiarity with Remote Monitoring and Management platforms
