General Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for developing manufacturing processes for key new customer programs. Focus will be on development of automated and manual welding processes along with additional support processes. This development will include process selection, equipment selection, fixture/tooling development, work center layout, and implementation of the processes into production.

- Develop welding, assembly, and other processes for key customer programs. This includes understanding the costs and timeline required.
- Lead efforts to specify equipment for key processes to include automation of processes.
- Develop tooling and fixturing as needed.
- Develop work center layouts considering lean manufacturing and ergonomic principles
- Execute these development plans within schedule and cost requirements
- Build key process documentation as required.
- Lead efforts and collaborate with manufacturing management in the implementation of new processes
- Lead efforts in any other special projects that may be assigned by the Development Engineering Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering 5-7 years related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in welding process development
- Experience in use of robotics.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Solidworks. Experience with robotic programming.
Other Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the ability to read blueprints, knowledge of business practices/protocols, and be able to maintain confidential information.
