Note:

Work Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, M-F on site (excluding Harvard holidays)
The Senior Examination Proctor for the FAS Testing Center oversees and participates in the administration of written assessments, and supervises the work of assigned proctors, including training and weekly scheduling to meet the needs of the Testing Center. Utilizes various systems to provide support to proctors and students during the exams. Communicates with faculty when students have exam questions. Coordinates exam room setup and special technology with Assistive Technology Center (ATC)This role reports directly to the Testing Center Lead(s).
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervises the work of proctors during the day and prepares proctor’s reports as necessary.
- Evaluates the weekly exams schedule for staffing needs.
- Creates and distributes proctor weekly schedule.
- Assists students with exam questions and facilitates communication with faculty over the phone or email.
- Monitors test rooms during the administration of exams.
- Serves as a point-person for proctors and students needing clarification.
- Enforces time limits and compliance.
- Explains and answers questions concerning exams procedures, accommodation questions, concerns during exams and related matters, and reports incidents and/or unusual occurrences during exams to Test Center Leads.
- Prepares and distributes examination materials to students.
- Collects, checks, and counts completed exams.
- Ensures rooms are prepared to meet the students’ accommodations.
- Notifies appropriate personnel when test equipment issues arise and works to find a quick resolution.
- Requests special technology from ATC and coordinates the delivery and drop-off.
- Perform general clerical support duties such as answering phones, processing correspondence, and maintaining files as needed.
- Support check-in desk operations as needed.
- Other duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or its equivalent.
- One year of academic experience.
- One year of administrative experience.
- One year of customer service experience.
Additional Qualifications & Skills:
- Higher Ed experience preferred with knowledge of general academic policies and procedures
- Excellent Customer Service and interpersonal skills
- Strong background using Microsoft Office suite (including Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion
- Ability to learn general and specialized software applications
- Demonstrated troubleshooting ability
- Ability to multitask while showing good judgment and timeliness
- Proactive and highly organized, with strong attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Circulate the Testing Center spaces and navigate multiple buildings across campus for prolonged periods of time
- Lift and move up to 50lbs
- Ability to work extended hours during busy periods
