We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Infrastructure Operations Systems and Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation, security, and scalability of our on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. You will leverage your expertise in both traditional IT operations and cloud technologies to optimize performance, automate processes, and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer on-premises infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking equipment, and operating systems.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud resources on platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and proactively identify and resolve potential problems.
- Implement and maintain security best practices for both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Migrate on-premises infrastructure and applications to the cloud (as needed).
- Partner with developers and other IT professionals to ensure alignment between infrastructure and application needs.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest IT infrastructure and cloud technologies, including emerging trends and best practices.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience managing and administering on-premises IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networking).
- Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and experience with a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS).
- Experience with system monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
