The Opportunity:
Our client, a manufacturing organization in Bristol, Virginia, has partnered with ML6 in their search for a VP of Engineering to join their team! In this role, you will play a crucial role in planning, directing, coordinating, and overseeing activities within the Engineering department.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Ensure the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet the current and future needs of the company.
- Actively participate in company strategy development and be responsible for supporting all functions requiring engineering interface.
- Project Management functions, as it relates to the Engineering department.
- Direct interface with customers.
- Monitor, track and report the department’s KPIs against stated goals.
- Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines and production/operational groups
- Develop short and long range plans around organizational structure, staffing requirements and succession plans.
- Plan, organize and direct the engineering activities to support all internal and external business groups.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- 10+ years of applicable technical and leadership experience.
- Experience with Medium Voltage Switchgears within a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- PEng or Masters Degrees would be considered an asset.
- Proven record in leading engineering teams and projects successfully.
