Position Overview
The AWS Cloud Engineer will help build and manage cloud solutions for our software products. You will work with AWS technologies to create and maintain cloud infrastructure and services. You will also work with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to make sure our cloud solutions are reliable, scalable, and secure. This position will be on-site based in our offices in Charlotte, North Carolina.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use AWS tools and best practices to create and manage cloud infrastructure and services.
- Check and improve the performance and availability of cloud resources. • Follow security standards and policies for cloud environments.
- Write and update automation scripts and pipelines for cloud deployment and configuration.
- Learn and use new cloud technologies and trends to enhance our cloud capabilities and solutions.
- Create and follow security best practices and standards for cloud environments, such as encryption, identity and access management, logging and monitoring, etc.
- Use DevSecOps tools and techniques, such as DAST, SAST, SonarQube, Fortify, etc., to check and improve the quality and security of cloud applications and infrastructure.
- Keep and monitor data pipelines and storage solutions for cloud platforms, such as AWS Glue, Athena, Redshift, etc.,
- Quickly diagnose and fix issues in lower and production environments.
- Maintain and implement monitoring to ensure stability of lower and production environments.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree, or similar work experience required.
- Five (5) years of experience in cloud security, DevSecOps, and data engineering is required.
- Expert knowledge of AWS services, such as EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, VPC, among others.
- Skilled in scripting languages, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with DevOps tools and methods, such as CI/CD, Git & Jenkins • Great communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work on your own and with a team.
- Love for learning and innovation.
- Legally authorized to work in the US required. This position is of indefinite duration and requires candidates to have permanent or ongoing work authorization.
