Job Title: Owner’s Representative / Project Manager – Data Center Operations

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Owner’s Representative / Project Manager to join our team and provide critical operational support at a live data center facility in Doral, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing construction projects within live environments, with an emphasis on data center operations. This role requires a high level of coordination with General Contractors (GCs) and Trade Partners, as well as a deep understanding of the operational requirements in a critical infrastructure setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support:
- Provide oversight and supervision for GC and Trade Partner activities in critical areas of a live data center.
- Ensure compliance with strict operational requirements, minimizing disruption to live operations.
Project Management:
- Coordinate and manage daily activities, including installation of conduit under Raised Access Floors (RAF), wire termination, and other technical tasks.
- Assist with administrative tasks to support the Operations team, allowing them to focus on critical area supervision.
Scheduling and Staffing:
- Prepare for increased workload, particularly during periods when GCs are operating on extended schedules
Client Interaction:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the client and Overwatch, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the client’s Data Center Operations (DCO) team.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks associated with construction in critical areas and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed, especially when working in high-risk environments.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on data centers or other critical infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects in live operational environments.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
Work Schedule:
- Flexibility to work a standard 40-hour week, with the potential to scale up to 48 hours and transition to a 6/10 schedule as needed.
- Availability for occasional weekend work based on project demands.
