A Project Manager position in Corona, CA is available at KWC Engineers. You must have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure, and a minimum of five years of experience supervising and running a survey crew for design, mapping, and construction projects. This is a full-time role with an annual compensation range of $115,000 to $140,000, depending on experience. KWC Engineers is a civil engineering firm providing consulting, planning, and other engineering construction services to clients in the private and public sectors throughout Southern California. Responsibilities:
- Aid in the preparation and drafting of grading, street improvements and underground infrastructure plans while adhering to design standards, agency processing requirements, and client expectations.
- Responsibility for the supervision of small groups of professional and technical staff, or a smaller group(s) of highly qualified professional personnel engage in complex technical applications.
- Responsible for preparing proposals and seeking contracts with new and existing clients in both the public and private sectors.
- Ensure quality of design and implement new ideas through supervision, participation, plan reviews and training of junior staff.
- Manage technical aspects of projects exhibiting strong proficiency in the preparation of water, sewer, drainage, WQMP reports for land development projects.
- Coordinate with other project managers in client/agency interaction, endeavor to build lasting relationships and respect.
- Mentorship of younger/less experienced staff.
- Originality and ingenuity are required to provide technical innovations by devising practical and economical solutions to problems.
- Independent decisions on work methods and procedures within a program. Incumbents will participate in short- and long-range planning.
- Effective working relationships are established with colleagues, associates, and clients.
- Important decisions and recommendations are made on highly technical or complex matters. Decisions and recommendations are not typically reviewed unless they involve large sums of money or long-term objectives.
- Sound judgment and initiative in the interpretation of policies, and in the planning and execution of important projects.
Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college.
- Requires at least 5 years’ experience in civil engineering and design specifically pertaining to land development projects - including drainage, utility, roadway design.
- P.E. license required.
- Capable of managing a project from the start through finish and handling multiple assignments concurrently.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Civil Design, and H2OMap Sewer.
- Experience in hydrology/hydraulic analysis, design methods and water quality low impact development applications.
- Excellent technical, communication, team building, and client relationship skills.
