Senior Architect/Department Lead - Luxury Residential | Winter Park, FL
The Senior Architect will be a collaborative team member and playing coach. They will support and lead the firm’s Detailing Department team in the development of project-specific details. They will coordinate clear, concise interior drawings and details of luxury custom homes.

Key Responsibilities
- Mentor, manage, and collaborate with a team of Interior Detailers and CAD technicians to develop project-specific interior architectural designs and interior design concepts for ceilings, millwork, tile layout, flooring patterns, etc.
- Work with external teams such as builders, developers, and/or general contractors to troubleshoot issues and answer questions about project designs as they arise.
- Collaborate with the President and Designers to establish drawing and detailing standards across the board and identify specific needs and scope for individual projects.
- Responsible for producing and vetting architectural working drawings, including all details for architectural interior projects. This includes millwork, tile, elevations, plans, sections, and RCP’s.
- Maintain/organize project files, schedules, and specifications.
- Work with Designers and Detailers to manage project timelines, department bandwidth, and meet specific deadlines for multiple projects at once.
- Conduct site visits when necessary and assist in construction supervision with Designers.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Architecture, a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years design architecture experience (residential projects preferred, but not required)
- Strong technical and practical AutoCAD skills with an understanding of building construction, including floor plans, elevations, sections, RCP, electrical, and millwork
- Understand shop drawings from cabinet and millwork companies
- Understand architectural drawings
- Working knowledge of construction techniques and related coordinating details and dimensions
- Experience and genuine interest in traditional and modern detailing
- Follow budget standards and properly track and manage time
- Adhere to company standards and be open to learning and receiving feedback
- Thrive in a fast-paced team environment where forward-thinking and communication is key
