We are looking for an Electronic Security Technician to join the federal team ASAP to support two sites in Niskayuna, New York. You will be responsible for responding to service tickets – with a 4 hour response time. Typically – each week you will spend 3 days working on service tickets for the ACS, CCTV or IDS system. The other 2 days – you will be working on preventative maintenance and inventory on the whole system to make sure that everything is working correctly and to mitigate service tickets in the future. The majority of the work you will do will be independent, so we are looking for candidates who are able to be self-sufficient.

Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in installation, service, maintenance and/or programming of access control, CCTV and IDS systems in a commercial or federal environment (NO RESIDENTIAL)
o Experience with CCURE 9000 – preference for certification
o Experience with American Dynamics – will consider someone who has experience with other video management systems (Bosch)
- HS Diploma
Ability to get a Q clearance (equivalent to TS clearance) à preference is for candidates to already have a TS clearance, so this process is quicker
Responsibilities:
- Conducts maintenance and service work of existing Electronic Security Systems (ESS) to include, but not limited to, access controls, intrusion detection, and camera systems. Specific systems include, but not limited to: Softwarehouse CCure 9000, American Dynamics, Axis, and others.
- May install security devices and infrastructure at times in accordance with installation plan according to the national electric code, company and customer guidelines
- Assists with security system programming and setup.
- Conducts testing to ensure proper operation of equipment after installation or repairs
- Conducts testing of system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.
- Coordinates installations with police/fire departments and handles necessary records for notification of emergency calls.
- May help prepare estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions from supervisor
- Conduct End-User training.
