Lead IT Hardware Technician
We are a leading IT Asset Management (ITAM) company in the Greater Sacramento area. We are seeking an experienced Lead IT Technician with a strong focus on enterprise solution hardware, especially server and network equipment, to oversee the testing and refurbishing of IT equipment for resale. The candidate will lead a team of technicians to ensure all IT assets meet stringent quality and performance benchmarks before entering the remarketing channel. The ideal candidate should be experienced with testing servers and network equipment hardware and be able to multi-task and prioritize projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of IT technicians responsible for testing and refurbishing servers, switches, and other IT hardware for resale
- Enhance existing procedures for hardware testing, data wiping, and certification.
- Coordinate with inventory and logistics teams to streamline the flow of IT assets through the refurbishing and remarketing process.
- Ensure all hardware and equipment meets compliance standards related to data wiping, security, and environmental responsibility.
- Evaluate and report on the performance, reliability, and resale value of various hardware components and configurations.
- Able to identify and resolve performance issues within the team to achieve SLA sales goals using KPIs and other metrics or strategies.
- Maintain accurate, detailed records of all testing and certification activities for auditing and compliance.
- Actively collaborate with other teams to complete each project per customers’ SOW requirements.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in ITAD resale sector with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with enterprise solution equipment, i.e. servers, switches, and other network hardware testing and refurbishing.
- Knowledge of relevant certifications in ITAD industry, e.g., R2, ISO 9001, CompTIA A+, etc.
- Demonstrated experience with data sanitization methods and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with asset tracking and inventory management software.
- Be able to multi-task and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay rate starts at $30.00/Hour, based on experience.
- Steady Onsite full-time work: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
