Provide environmental compliance and permitting support to a modern chemical plant with a focus on Air regulations.
Provides regulatory expertise, coaching, and hands-on support to drive environmental compliance and permiting, regulatory reviews, performs required activities to maintain compliance with air, water, solid waste. Activities include preparing permit applications amendments and renewals, regulatory reports, defining programs and procedures, maintaining records, training
You will prepare permit applications, renewals and modifications (Title V, NSPS) for all aspects of the Air program and state and federal regulations. You will also support compliance with water and waste issues.
Reports to the site EHS Mgr.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering (Other technical degrees will be considered depending upon the experience level of the individual)
- 5 or more years of experience in related field, knowledge/experience of state and federal environmental regulations, and ability to acquire knowledge of plant operations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Experience within a petrochemical, refining or chemical manufacturing facility
- Experience directly interfacing with state or federal regulatory agencies
- Experience working with operators, maintenance technicians and engineers
