A very prominent manufacturing organization is actively seeking an Industrial Engineer to add to their growing facility. This candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of duties relative to industrial/lean engineering in an effort to improve deliverables that will lead to improve efficiencies and cost savings.
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Coordinate, maintain and recommend improvements in plant layouts and material flow
- Maintain plant layout
- Engineer special programs and projects related to cost reductions
- Implement work cells and productivity improvements
- Assist in the planning/estimating and introduction of manufacturing new processes, products and operations
- Maintain work standards for manufacturing operations
- Analyze material handling methods and facilitate improvements
- Create and assist with implementation of standard work
- Maintain plant capacity and utilization information
- Design and modify packaging to meet customer requirements, ensure protection of product during transit and manage cost of packaging materials
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
- 1-4+ years experience in the industrial engineering field preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Lean Production techniques, time studies, and standards development preferred
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives within inventory
