We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our expanding Albuquerque office. In this role, you will design and manage structural engineering projects across various sectors, including DOE/DOD labs, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, sports facilities, office spaces, and educational institutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Client and Project Management: Serve as the primary contact for clients and contractors throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clear communication and successful project outcomes.
- Team Collaboration: Lead and collaborate with engineering and technician staff to produce high-quality project documentation using advanced design and graphics software.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to less experienced staff, assisting with career development, design techniques, software use, and code compliance.
- Project Planning: Develop, monitor, and manage project work plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Client Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective project execution and business development activities.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Minimum of 12 months of experience as a Professional Engineer and at least 6 years of progressive engineering experience (MSCE/MSAE counts as 1 year; passing the 16-hour SE exam also counts as 1 year).
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects responsibly.
Desired:
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects from design through construction.
- Experience with Department of Energy and Department of Defense projects.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with clients, jurisdictions, and colleagues.
- Commitment to professional development and active participation in professional or technical societies.
- Positive attitude and ability to tackle challenging assignments.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Professional Engineer and completion of the 16-hour structural engineering exam.
