Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in network architecture, design, implementation, and support. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in SD-WAN technologies, dynamic routing protocols, and extensive experience with network security appliances including Fortinet, Cisco, and Citrix Netscalers. In addition, proficiency in cloud networking with a focus on AWS and Azure is essential for this role. Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Architecture and Service Delivery, the Senior Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining and monitoring network and security platforms supporting Firm.
Duties and/or Responsibilities:
- Plans, designs, implements, and provides ongoing support of network systems of high complexity in extranet, backbone, and corporate environments to fulfill business needs for performance and cost benefits.
- Serves as technical lead for hardware installation, configuration, and operational support of the networks' routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls and other critical infrastructure; serves as technical lead working with application owners and clients to fine-tune WAN links for optimal performance.
- Evaluates new technology and bring opportunities forward that would improve the future network architecture, performance, and network services.
- Ensures all changes go through appropriate review, change control, and acceptance before implementation.
- Leads development, testing and QA functions to ensure that projects are securely delivered and fulfill expectations.
- Builds and maintains relationships with teams and third parties on network development or support issues.
- Provides highest level of technical consultancy to ensure problem resolution is achieved in the shortest possible timeframe.

- Develops processes and procedures for use by the Network team and third parties in the management of network environments.
- Provides technical management and functionality of key management, monitoring, and administrative tools - such as Solarwinds and FortiManager and Cloud portal tools.
- Develops solutions and builds plans to effectively gain buy-in from all participants.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum of [insert number] years of experience in network engineering roles, with a focus on SD-WAN, cloud networking, and security technologies.
- Strong proficiency in SD-WAN solutions, with hands-on experience deploying and managing platforms such as Cisco Meraki, Fortinet Secure SD-WAN, Silver Peak.
- Knowledge of Cisco encryption technologies (IPSec, SSL), and hot standby protocols HSRP and VRRP.
- In-depth understanding of cloud networking concepts and architectures, with practical experience working with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Extensive experience with network security appliances and solutions from Fortinet (FortiGate), Cisco (ASA, Firepower), and Citrix (NetScaler, ADC).
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, Fortinet NSE, AWS, Azure or equivalent are highly desirable.
Preferred:
- 2+ years of Python programming experience, with emphasis on one or more of; Infrastructure

- Possess a detailed understanding of network segmentation / micro-segmentation.
