Leading supermarket company headquartered in Emeryville, CA, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Licensing Specialist to join their team on a temporary basis. The Licensing Specialist will manage the entire process of applying for and renewing business licenses. This role requires excellent administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across different teams and with governmental agencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration, particularly within legal or government sectors, and will be adept at navigating regulatory processes. While experience with licensing is beneficial, the primary focus is on strong administrative capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and submission of business license applications, ensuring all required documentation is accurate and complete.
- Manage the renewal process for existing licenses, tracking deadlines, and ensuring timely submissions.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all licenses, including application dates, renewal timelines, and associated fees.
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather and organize necessary information for license applications.
- Communicate with governmental agencies to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and follow up on the status of applications.
- Support any audits or inspections related to the company’s licenses by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Provide regular updates to management on the status of license applications and renewals.
- Report onsite in Emeryville up to 5 days a week for the first 1-2 weeks for training; transition to a hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite weekly.
Qualifications:
- Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in managing documentation, data entry, and record-keeping.
- Experience in coordinating with multiple departments to gather and process information.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Familiarity with working with governmental agencies is a plus, but not required.
