Utilize your years of RF Engineering experience and expertise to design, develop, and optimize radio frequency (RF) systems and components. We are seeking a talented, well-rounded and motivated RF Engineer who will join our diverse engineering team to develop drone detection, tracking, identification, and counter-measure solutions. The ideal candidate will share our passion for design excellence, will have hands-on experience developing, producing, and testing RF/wireless communications solutions. This person is comfortable in a small-team startup environment and can work collaboratively and cross-functionally to rapidly develop and scale high-quality products.
Responsibilities
- Work with R&D to develop innovative RF signal detection / mitigation technologies and techniques.
- Design and develop RF circuits and systems, including amplifiers, filters, and oscillators.
- Work with third-party partners on RF design and development.
- Perform simulations and analysis of RF systems to ensure performance and compliance with specifications.
- Conduct RF testing and measurements using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other RF test equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve RF-related issues in hardware and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF components into larger systems and ensure seamless operation.
- Develop and document RF design specifications, test plans, and procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in RF technology and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional hardware and software teams to develop and maintain a cohesive and productive team environment.
Qualifications
- RF Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in electrical and/or RF engineering and releasing products.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex hardware products from concept to production utilizing vendors, contractors, and internal resources.
- Deep understanding of hardware design principles.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent organizational skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with embedded systems and firmware development.
- Knowledge of advanced RF technologies such as beamforming, MIMO, and direction finding.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., FCC, ETSI) and certification processes.
