A construction engineering and maintenance contractor is looking for a Safety Manager to lead their team in the Toledo, OH area. Based at their main offices, this person will manage a small team of direct reports and be responsible for driving forward safety performance across their sites - ensuring a commitment toward the corporate EHS goals.
The Role:
- Advise all operational, project and maintenance teams at the sites on safety issues - ensuring all employees remain committed to establishing an industry leading safety culture
- Undertake safety inspections, incident investigations and audits as deemed necessary
- Maintain files on questionnaires, third party liability and insurance carriers as required
The Candidate:
- 10+ years of safety experience in a heavy industrial construction environment
- Strong communicator who is able to effectively engage with key internal and external stakeholders across all business levels
- Able to work autonomously and solve problems independently
- Ability to travel around the Toledo area as required
