OVERVIEW
Vaco Dallas is seeking a motivated Data Analyst with 1-3 years of working experience for a direct hire opportunity. The role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of data across various platforms and systems. This position requires a meticulous approach to data management and an acute attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with Excel and a strong understanding of Power BI and reporting. The primary responsibilities include data cleansing, cross-analysis, and data entry. Additionally, this role involves integrating data from multiple acquisitions into a centralized resource, thereby enhancing operational efficiency across the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Data Management: Accurately enter, update, and maintain data across multiple databases and systems, ensuring a high level of accuracy and consistency.
- Quality Control: Cross-reference and validate data entries to uphold data integrity, correcting discrepancies and implementing data cleaning procedures.
- Categorization: Accurately classify data based on provided criteria (e.g., water repair, fire damage) and organize it for efficient retrieval and analysis.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of data entry activities and document procedures to ensure comprehensive data management.
- Integration Support: Assist with the integration of data from newly acquired brands, ensuring full implementation within 120 days of acquisition.
- Reporting: Retrieve and organize data as requested by team members and management, and generate reports as needed.
- Analysis: Utilize strong analytical skills to detect discrepancies and changes in data sets, proposing solutions to enhance data accuracy.
- Advanced Excel Utilization: Apply advanced Excel skills for data sorting, lookup, and management, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and other advanced functions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teams from acquired brands to address data inconsistencies and ensure smooth data transition and integration.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: 1-4 years in a data entry, data analyst, or similar role.
- Power BI Proficiency: Solid understanding of Power BI for reporting and data visualization, with 2-3 years of experience in Power BI and dashboard creation.
- SQL Skills: Basic experience with SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis.
- Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other data analysis functions.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a proven ability to detect and resolve data discrepancies.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and classification.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain strong organizational skills.
- Data Integration: Experience in data integration and ensuring data consistency is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the construction/restoration industry is a plus but not required.
- Experience with data entry and analysis for mergers and acquisitions, including understanding due diligence processes, data integrity assessments, and financial data analysis.
In our commitment to transparency throughout the hiring process, we provide a target annual base salary range of $65,000 - $90,000 for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) experience, work location, and skills. Additionally, this position is eligible for comprehensive benefits provided by the hiring employer.
