Description: The primary function of a Designer III is to the creation of drawing packages under the direction of Engineering for Natural gas compressor stations and pipelines.
This role will have a Multi-Discipline responsibility but will be heavily focused on Piping/Mechanical, and will focus largely on Well connects and small facilities(Compressor station) modifications.
Responsibilities:
• Creation and maintenance of:
o Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
o Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs)
o Facility Plot Plans
o Piping Plans
o Bills of Materials
o Piping Isometrics
o Electrical Hazardous Area Classification (EAC) Plans
o 3D CadWorx models
Skills:
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of the operational & field environment for work practices and conditions, in process plants, gathering systems, pipelines, and chemical plants.
• Thorough knowledge and ability in the use of AutoCAD.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, teams, etc.) and other administrative applications.
• Strong analytical, risk assessment and problem solving skills
• This position requires regular travel (up to 30%) to local field locations(?3hrs away from office) and irregular travel (up to 10%) to remote field locations(?3hrs away from office) .
• Must be able to handle a diverse range of multiple, complex assignments requiring the use of experience, innovation and judgment
• Familiarity with ASME B31.8 & B31.3, API 6D, ASME B16.5 & B16.9
Education/Experience:
• 5-7 years experience in the oil and gas industry required.
• 5-7 years of Autocad experience
• 3+ years of Cadworx Plant Experience
• 1+ years of Cadworx P&ID experience
