About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with extensive experience in software development and implementation to lead the deployment of a statewide vendor software application. This role will involve custom configurations and interfaces, ensuring seamless integration across our statewide offices. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional project management abilities, anticipating issues and proactively planning to mitigate risks, while maintaining high-quality communication and building strong rapport with project resources and governance groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans.
- Ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
- Implement a statewide vendor software application with custom configurations and interfaces.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular communication and reporting on project progress.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks.
- Proactively address issues and develop contingency plans.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate project teams.
- Assign tasks and provide guidance to team members.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams for testing and validation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in software development and implementation projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues, proactively plan, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Experience with vendor software applications, including custom configurations and interfaces, is highly desirable.
- PMP or similar project management certification is preferred.
